Back To Building

It's been a while, but I'm back in the swing of things. I mitered the chainstays and cut slots for the dropouts; then the dropouts were brazed in. The rest of the day was spent filing fillets. Check out the method and the tedium on Tony Pereira's flickr page. Note the photo descriptions.

Have you started building forks yet?
Are you ever going to build for other people? Your frames look really good and I am sure I am not the only one who would pay for your work.
I really want a bike that looks like my road bike... Horizontal top tube, but with clearance for 2.3 exiwolfs. The monstercross bike you posted was real close....
Markie (not Lulu)
Monster CX! Yes please 50cm C-C ST, 52cm C-C TT, room for 2.1's with mud & fenders. I'd like horizontal drops, but wouldn't complain if there was a deraileur nublet like on the KM just in case I chose to road ride it. I have no idea about HTA or STA. I'd guess more along the lines of CX than road or MTB? Dunno, I'm not real smart like that
I appreciate the compliments, but as of now I'm only building for myself and maybe for my girlfriend, Sophia. Building for others sounds rewarding in some ways, but I don't have the money or the time to start a business, even if it's only on the side. There's lots of nice stuff being made out there from guys who really know what they're doing--and who have insurance just in case. Take this Clockwork for example. Looks like you could get something like this, without the bells and whistles of course, for $1000, frame and fork. That's a hell of a deal if you ask me.
If I ever do start building for other people, though, you guys can be the guinea pigs--at a deep discount, too.
Ha! I was worried you were going to say we'd have to be your girlfriend, I like your bikes and all, but not that much!
Post up more build pix
