Parts Morgue

Interesting web page that discusses bicycle parts failures and features some nice close-ups. The whole thing reads like a forensic scientist's report, especially if you substitute "trauma" everywhere for "failure." Kinda eerie.

Note that one example of a crank failure comes to us courtesy of Campagnolo; apparently, the crack began at the logo stamp mark, brilliantly placed at the point of greatest tensile bending moment! Must've laid off an engineer to keep a marketer, haw!
